This class will review the basics of servo tuning on a performance brake dynamometer. A machine at LINK will be tuned remotely in real-time with an ethernet-based servo. General understanding of brake dynamometer operation and ProLINK software is preferred.
Basic concepts of common parameters will be discussed in both pressure and torque (decel) control, including PID, ramp gain, and general background variables. The importance of brake size, brake bleed, and other factors in tuning will be analyzed.
Class is offered twice to accommodate multiple time zones. Session selection will be confirmed upon registration.
