Take the guess work out of how to make script updates and gain confidence in creating your own control programs from scratch. In this introductory course, you'll learn the basics of writing control programs using ScriptEdit.
Initially, the steps of software installation and selecting machine files will be reviewed. The importance of default setpoints and how they work with the programming language will then be discussed in detail, including general hints for faster programming. Focus will move onto VSI2 (Visual Script Interface 2) with emphasis on steps, routines, while & repeat loops, and if (true/false) statements. Examples will be shown for each type. The course's aim is to review the steps in general and is not machine specific. Items learned can be applied across all machine types that use VSI2 in ScriptEdit.
Operators and test engineers who are looking to begin machine programming. No prior ScriptEdit experience is required.
