Take your control programs in ScriptEdit to a higher level in our Advanced Programming course. This class is designed to build upon the basics to create a more well-rounded, efficient, and robust test script. Review the items commonly seen in control programs utilized at Link’s global testing laboratories. A general understanding of VSI2 programming is preferred.
The class starts with a detailed review of selecting machine background (INI) files to an overview of global and local variables. These will be used to create dialog boxes, both button selection and data input, along with utilizing previously saved test data.
The use of “code before” and “code after” sections will also be shown followed by helpful syntax for routines, repeat loops, and datalogging. Unique machine control will be discussed depending on machine options such as water spray, environmental chambers, and cycles. Examples will be provided at each step.
Test engineers or operators looking to get started in editing or creating more complex control programs. To get the most out of the class, previous experience with basic scripts will be helpful.
