LINK’s Model 5200 Moment of Inertia stand accurately and repeatably measures the moment of inertia and center of gravity for tires, wheels, and other components small enough to fit on the compact tabletop package. This state-of-the-art system meticulously ensures accuracy and reliability by measuring the period of oscillation within the system, providing insight into the inertial properties of mounted objects.
The Moment of Inertia stand can also test non-tire components on a precision-manufactured adaptor plate, allowing the user to pinpoint the moment of inertia and center of gravity for the test components.
"We recently acquired a Moment of Inertia machine from Link Engineering Company, and it's proven to be a highly accurate tool for measuring tire wheel assemblies. The machine's sensitivity is impressive, detecting even minute differences in lab wheels machined to identical specifications. The accompanying software is robust and user-friendly, making the overall operation smooth."
