With the rapid development of EMB brakes, endurance and fatigue characterization of brake calipers is becoming ever more prevalent. LINK's Model 2970 Caliper Fatigue Test Stand is designed to test the endurance and fatigue characteristics of brake calipers. The test stand uses an electro-mechanical actuator to control high pressures and the tangential force being applied to the caliper. The Model 2970 can also be used to test the parking brake in combination with the foundation brake. This is possible with the addition of a pneumatic actuator which can be placed on the front or rear of the test station.
